Thanks a million to all of the ladies at the book club this past Tuesday. I always enjoy talking about my book and getting feedback so what a better way than over a lovely chat at a book club...where I was the guest author no less!
To have my book read by a group of women then sit down to discuss it opens such a wealth of emotions for me. Awed that I am sitting there in the first place with my name on the front cover. Elated that I have succeeded this far. Honored that others want to share it with me. Thankful and deeply humbled that I can bring an array of emotion to people through my characters. I suppose a thanks to Joel and Eve on this one is necessary, too. ;)
Book clubs are the perfect time to chat and share thoughts and ideas, get the juices flowing and create. There is never a bad time to promote reading and community, and forming a club to share is the perfect hands on example of that.
This group has been meeting monthly for five years--what dedication, keep it up ladies!--and such a welcoming and fun group of women.
What an honor to have been invited and I hope to keep hearing from you all!
